For Diversity Awareness Month we wanted to share a few ways to celebrate and some of the activities we’ll be engaged in to recognize and honor diverse perspectives in April!

We’re focusing our efforts on building inclusive work cultures in our offices around the globe and participating in training and activities to overcome bias, create buy-in, and help communities at every level of our organization.
This celebration, founded in 2004, was created to promote awareness of and honor the diversity that surrounds us, not just in differences of heritage and history, but also diversity in thought and how best we can leverage the strengths in one another. To this end, we encourage all LiveVox employees to engage in one or more of the following ways.
Raise your voice
We created a branded hashtag, #LifeatLiveVox, and invited our more than 500 global employees to share their experiences, highlights, or fun work moments. Hashtags are a great way to create feedback loops and showcase company culture to wider audiences on social media.
Start conversations
We’ve created an annual diversity calendar that marks important observances throughout the year. We host quarterly Lunch & Learns where we gather to discuss a specified topic or article. For Black History month we read Between the World & Me by Ta-Nahisi Coates and had an exciting group discussion on racial justice. For Women’s History Month, we held a workshop about overcoming bias in the workplace which featured presentations from two of our female Directors at LiveVox.
Employee resource group leadership
Last year we started our first employee resource group for women and we’ve created instructions and steps for starting an ERG so anyone who would like to start a group of their own at LiveVox can.
Be active in your community
Through LiveVox Community Outreach, we’re participating in several volunteer activities this month with a focus on life skills coaching, mentoring, and technology workforce development.
Recognizing diversity doesn’t end on April 30th
In addition to our long-term, ongoing workplace strategies for improving D&I at LiveVox, we’ve recently launched a company-wide diversity calendar to share monthly observances and mark occasions important to our vast employee demographic.
We regularly update an internal DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) hub with relevant and fun educational materials to get our teams engaged in conversation and broaden perspectives.
We’ll continue to ensure that as we get more involved with diversity and inclusion activities as a company, we’ll nurture and grow our culture as a place where everyone can voice their opinions and bring their authentic selves to work.
